PICCIONE PASTRY DECLARES A SUMMER OF GIVING
June-August, Treat Yourself and Support Local Non-Profit Organizations
(St. Louis, MO.): Piccione Pastry, St. Louis’ premier Italian pastry shop, will celebrate A Summer of Giving for their Pastries with a Purpose program. Piccione Pastry will donate 10% of one week’s total net sales to a different non-profit organization in June, July and August.
Congratulations to the Pastries with a Purpose: A Summer of Giving recipients: June 23-28: CHADS Coalition for Mental Health, July 21-26: Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis, August 25-30: Queen of Peace Center.
Stop in to support these local non-profit organizations and enjoy a scrumptious array of seasonal-and-classic Italian-style desserts. New treats include mixed fruit crostata, fresh fruit tart, signature lemon cannoli, cookie dough cannoli and triple chocolate cassata cake. Indulge on seasonal gelato and sorbet flavors made from scratch by Gusto Gourmet Creamery: vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel and cherry mascarpone.
“The “Pastries with a Purpose” program is designed to assist organizations that work tirelessly to make our community a better place. The program has been well received and we look forward to summer full of giving,” said Sandia Hoormann, Pastry Chef at Piccione Pastry.
Previous recipients include: Regional Business Council – North County Inc., Stray Rescue of St. Louis, St. Louis Arc, Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis, Feed My Peeps, Great Rivers Greenway, STL Village, Marygrove, EarthWays Center of the Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis World Food Day, Inc., St. Louis City Open Studio & Gallery, Nurses for Newborns, Marian Middle School, Food Outreach, Psi Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Phi at Washington University in St. Louis, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, City Academy, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, Belle Children’s Services of St. Louis Arc, Make-a-Wish Foundation, St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation, Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation, and St. Patrick Center.
Local 501(c)(3) organizations are encouraged to apply for the program, and individuals can nominate their favorite nonprofit by visiting www.piccionepastry.com, downloading the application and sending the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
